This study aims to analyze the duties and functions of the East Kutai regency Bappeda active role in the running of his authority as a non-departmental agencies directly under the coordination of the regents, it’s done because of pressure development in the area of East Kutai regency government felt not maximized and evenly and to determine the factors supporting and constraints faced by the Regional Development Planning Board in carrying out its role.
This study uses descriptive and qualitative data analysis. Data collected by the library, research / observation and interviews in Regional Development Planning Board (Bappeda) in the East Kutai Regency and parties associated with this research. The conclusion of the study, Bappeda still have problems, especially in human resources and software penunjangnya.Tugas and function of a general nature and is not described more explicitly in the form of job descriptions.
